Dear Colleagues!

We hereby would like to welcome you all to the 18th Medicinteknikdagarna arranged by Swedish Society for Medical Engineering (MTF), in cooperation with the Luleå University of Technology and Norrbotten County as local hosts. After two years of hosting Medicinteknikdagarna digitally, we are looking forward to meeting in person, listening to inspiring plenary talks, sharing innovative technology solutions for healthcare and recent research in the field, participating in the exhibition and much more.

A main theme for this year’s conference is healthcare at distance and the changes that have occurred to address the future needs of healthcare. In addition, the patient perspective and personalized medicine is included in the conference. The recently established scientific council of MTF, composed of several young and successful biomedical engineering researchers based in Sweden, will inform on the international trends in the field.

By gathering different stakeholders within the Biomedical Engineering sector, including research, industry, authorities, patient and healthcare representatives, the ambition of Medicinteknikdagarna 2022 is to stimulate knowledge exchange, networking, collaboration and continued development of medical technology in Sweden. The main language of the conference is Swedish but there will be sessions in English throughout the conference for non-Swedish speakers.

Warmly welcome to Medicinteknikdagarna in Luleå!
