Juan Eugenio Iglesias

Juan Eugenio Iglesias

Juan Eugenio Iglesias is Associate Professor of Radiology at the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging (Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School), where he directs the Laboratory for Ex Vivo Modeling of Neuroanatomy (LEMoN). He also has an affiliate appointment at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His research lies at the intersection of artificial intelligence and neuroimaging.

Dr. Iglesias holds MSc degrees in Electrical and Telecommunication Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH, Stockholm, Sweden) and the University of Seville, respectively. He completed his PhD in Biomedical Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2011.

Dr. Iglesias has been the recipient of a Fulbright Science of Technology Award, a Marie Curie fellowship, a Starting Grant of the European Research Council, and several NIH grants.

Simone Fischer-Hübner

Simone Fischer-Hübner

Simone Fischer-Hübner has been a full professor in Computer Science at Karlstad University since 2000, specialized on cybersecurity, privacy-enhancing technologies and usable security and privacy, and is also a part-time guest professor at Chalmers University of Technology.

Prof. Fischer-Hübner has been the coordinator of the Swedish IT Security Network for PhD students (SWITS), which she co-founded in 2001, and is also the Director of the SIGS-CyberSec industrial Graduate school, the Director of the Cybercampus Sweden Postgraduate School, and was previously the scientific coordinator for the EU Horizon MSCA doctoral network Privacy&Us. Moreover, Prof. Fischer-Hübner is the Swedish representative of IFIP (International Federation for Information Processing) TC 11 (Technical Committee on Information Security and Privacy Protection) and is the IFIP TC 11 vice chair.

Prof. Fischer-Hübner has been a PI for seven EU Horizon projects related to cybersecurity and privacy technologies that cover various eHealth use cases, including the TRUMAN Horizon Europe project on TRUstworthy and HUMan-centric AI.

Prof. Fischer-Hübner was awarded with an Honorary Doctorate by Chalmers University of Technology in 2021 and received the IFIP WG11.11 William Winsborough Award (2016), two Google research Awards (2011, 2012) and the IFIP Silver Core Award (2001).
